Sundowns had a frustrated day against AS Maniema in DR Congo in their Caf Champion league fixture. However When Sundowns took on TP Mazembe last season they were hailed like heros by TP Mazembe arch rival club fans. They were celebrated like they have won a cup in Congo. They beat TP Mazembe in DR Congo. When they left the stadium. They were met with hundreds if not thousands of fans celebrating their Victory. Many people in DR Congo expected Sundowns to walk all over Maniema because they Managed to beat TP Mazembe who also won a number of Caf champion league cups before.

During an interview Rhulani Mokwena was faced with some difficult questions from journalists.

He was asked why were Sundowns not strong like before, is it because they don't know much about the opponent? Rhulani seemed very irritated by the question. He was very defensive. He said Maniema scored goals because they made errors. He does not believe that they got a draw because they were not strong on the day.

He totally disagreed with the interviewer. He said if you think Sundowns is not strong, it will be strong in the second leg in South Africa. Rhulani said the fact that they drew the match it does not mean they did not follow their opponents. They saw them when they played against AS vita were they lost the game. They drew 2-2 against Renaissance.

We knew something about the opponents. The fact that we could not get a win does not mean we were not prepared for our opponents he said.

Sundowns coach said they work very hard. They always do a proper research on the opponents. They take their job seriously.

He was getting very irritated. He said I don't know what to say anymore, "which stronger Sundowns do they know".

If we were not strong why did the opponents fail to beat us then he asked.

There was a french lady who was busy translating from English to French. Rhulani could be seen saying ok,ok and walking away from the interview.
