On Sunday the 28th of February Mamelodi Sundowns is booked to face the Algerian side CR Belouizdad at Mkaba stadium in Dar es Salaam in the CAF champion league.
The Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF) is supporting the upcoming fixture to take place on the 28th of February but it is still waiting for the CAF to give them the green light, which is expected in the next coming hours. That is according to the Tanzanian administration statement released 23hours ago.
Masandawana were first set to play with Belouizdad at Stade du 5 Juillet 1962 in the capital city of Algeria, Algiers on February 23. But Sundowns announced that their clash with the current Algerian champions had been cancelled on Thursday. That was after the Algerian Football Federation requested to postpone due to medical restrictions in Algeria‚ while Sundowns were preparing for leave to Algeria.
The PSL champions also confirmed that they had made all the necessary arrangements and acquired visas in order to enter Algeria.
Sundowns will be looking forward to make two wins in a row in Group B if they do take on Belouizdad in the East African country.
The Tshwane giants started their group stage campaign on a high note with a 2-0 win to Sudanese giants Al-Hilal at Loftus Versfeld Stadium last weekend.
On the other Belouizdad had a zero draw (0-0) with Tout Puissant Mazembe of DR Congo at Stade TP Mazembe on the same day.
Sundowns are currently sitting at the top of the Group B standings as they look forward to maintain that spot and grab their second Champions League title.
