Two new star players have been spotted training with Sundowns


Mamelodi Sundowns have utilised the January transfer window to the best of their abilities. As they're trying out different players to see if they will fit their philosophy and game plans. Also, they want to know what will they bring to the table if they form part of the Tshwane giants family. Without any doubts, Downs wants to continue with their dominance in the DStv Premiership. Also, they're still working on getting their second star in CAF Champions League. Having enough fire power within the squad will help Downs reach the next phase of the competition. This time around, Chloorkop has been open for players to do trials and see if they can add more depth to the MTN8 champions.

According to reports, Sundowns have welcomed two young Nigerian strikers the 17-year-old Daniel Dioh and the 18-year-old Jesse Francis for assessment before the transfer window shut down. The Tshwane giants are known for being interested in highly-rated players that cost millions of rands. It is believed that these two Nigerian youngsters come from an an academy and they're part of the future project. As the Sundowns technical team is looking beyond their current squad since they have many players over the age 30. Now, the DStv Premiership reigning champions are looking at strengthen their attack since it haven't the best lately. As they're relying on Peter Shalulule to score goals and they're looking for younger plans that can be groomed at Chloorkop.

Even though these are trials, there's a possibility that Dioh and Francis might get their life changing at Downs if they excel in their work.  “There are two Nigerian players who are currently training with Sundowns. They have come here for assessment, and they are both strikers and are very good players. There is interest in these players from clubs in Europe, but we have managed to convince them to come here so that they can be assessed under the first team coaches, and a decision on them will be made soon,” a source close to Sundowns confirmed to the Siya crew.
