Chiefs makes a major announcement that may see fans going opposite way, see more

Is this the end of Amakhosi's era playing at the historic and famous FNB Stadium

Jessica Motaung has just announced a shocking new 'home' venue for Kaizer Chiefs.

Motaung and his colleagues just detonated the bomb. They have unveiled a new stadium that will shock Amakhosi fans.

In short, no, Amakhosi will not leave FNB Stadium. But they announced a surprise waiting venue, Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The eThekwini Main Stadium will replace the alternative Amakhosi Stadium if necessary.

There is speculation that Amakhosi will return to Mangaung Stadium in Bloemfontein. This is not after Motaung checked out Amakhosi 'home stadium'. If for some reason Amakhosi cannot play at the FNB Stadium, they will use Moses Mabhida.

"We are very happy to be back in our second home after a long absence," said Motaung in a source.

Amakhosi fans are encouraged to join their ranks in supporting the Chiefs as they play in Durban.

“We encourage all of our fans to come out in large numbers and recreate the incredible atmosphere we experience at Mabhida every time we play a home game. Get your tickets in advance and see you there,” added Motuang .

This weekend is special for Amakhosi, riding from Richards Bay to Mabhida on Saturday 20 August 2022. That's because the Christmas Rich Boyz knocked out the Chiefs from the Nedbank Cup two years ago.

Amakoshi are also desperate for a win after losing two of their first three games in this year's DStv Premier League.
