Sipho Mbule injured in freak accident

SuperSport United were conspicuous about the absence of Sipho Mbule as their side ram riot over Swallows in their DStv Premier Soccer League encounter.

Even thought Matsatsantsa convincingly won their tie 3-0, it was Mbule's absence that stole te show.

Mbule has been in fine form for the men from Pretoria and he is one of the star players in Kaitano Tembo's team.

Now, it has emerged that the prolific goal scorer is on the mend from a shoulder injury.

Soccer Laduma reported earlier that the midfielder sustained the injury after a “freak accident” at home and has since ruled Mbule out for two more weeks.

SSU coach Kaitano Tembo had briefly spoken about the injury early last week ahead of their goalless draw against AmaZulu in Durban, a DStv Premiership clash where it was evident Mbule’s impact was missed.

Tembo has an evenly balanced team and he can go on for a few weeks without Mbule.
