Goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni is currently one of Swallows FC veteran players. Like fine wine the more he matures, the good he gets. During his illustrious career he featured for some of the countrys best teams.

Thela Ngobeni began his youth career with the Kaizer Chiefs Development side, he was later promoted to the senior team in 2008 and would enjoy a four year stay at the team. In 2013 he went to joined Mamelodi Sundowns, in 2016 and 2018 he was sent on seasons long loan spell to Free State Stars by the Chloorkop based outfit.

In the 2019/20 season he went to join Highlands Park and a season after in 2020 would attract the attention of Swallows FC where he currently plays.

As of today, the 4th of February 2021, he celebrates his 32nd birthday as he was born in 1989. Messages from fans and the football fraternity have been pouring in as he celebrates his special day.
