Senegalese forward Sadio Mane has been a revelation ever since he moved from Southampton to Liverpool. The forward will look to break the 100 goals mark when his team faces Watford in the early kick-off on Saturday.
Sadio Mane will look to be the third player in Premier League History to score 100+ goals without any of them being penalties. The forward currently sits on 99 goals, just 1 goal shy as Liverpool travel to play Watford. The last time these two teams meet at Vicarage Road, Watford ended Liverpool’s unbeaten record with an empathic 3-0 win. A brace from Ismail Sarr dented the Liverpool “invincible” season however, they still went on to win and end a 30-year Premier League trophy drought.
In his press conference to the media, coach Jurgen Klopp confirms that Brazilian duo Alisson and Fabinho will miss Liverpool's match against Watford on Saturday, and will fly straight from Brazil to Madrid for Tuesday's Uefa Champions League (UCL ) match with Atletico Madrid. Many team's have been hampered with the situation of South American players playing 36 hours before their weekend matches. The coach has also mentioned that Trent Alexander Arnold and Diogo Jota will be available for the trip to Vicarage road after the former has been struggling with a hamstring injury. Jota felt a slight niggle during the International break, but luckily it wasn't anything to serious.
After Watford, Liverpool have two tricky encounters both away to Atletico Madrid in the UCL and Manchester United in the League. Both games are in a space of a week and squad rotation will be vital. Liverpool will also heavily rely on Mohammed Salah who has begun the season in style, notching up 6 goals and 4 assists in just 7 games. Liverpool should win this one comfortablely.
What's your take on the game?
