Former Pirates star breaks his silence about Chippa walking away with three points

It will take the former Orlando Pirates star Daine Klate some time to get over the rare win against the Soweto giants. What made the victory more sweater was that his initial plan worked and that's to give trouble whenever they're on a break attack. Klate was given a huge opportunity to lead Chippa United in the DStv Premiership campaign after he coached the reserve side. Although the football fraternity felt that he was doing a career suicide since the Chilli Boys boss Chippa Mpengesi is know for not being patient with his coaches and can easily sack them after a few games.

The league match against Pirates showed Klate that his charges are on the right track and they were able to get their first victory in the hands of the Buccaneers. Klate stated that his charges worked hard to get the corner and then to convert it to a goal was unbelievable. “I think we have to compliment the players, I think they were fantastic, Banda, the goal was unbelievable – the build-up to the goal for me, Aviwe in the corner there, he was clever, creating a corner out of nothing,” Klate told SuperSport TV.

According to the former Bidvest Wits winger, Pirates kept the ball possession and were constantly attacking his charges hoping to sneak a goal. However, the Chilli Boys defense worked overtime to make sure that the Buccaneers doesn't score a single. “We know they don’t like to defend, so obviously with the ball coming into the box there in the corner gave us the most important thing which is to walk away with the three points today,” said Klate speaking to the media.
