Good News|| Orlando Pirates makes decision on coaching changes

Date: 02/12/2021

Orlando Pirates are currently one of a few PSL clubs who does not have an official permanent head coach in charge as the club are run by co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids who has been on a good trial run with the club, bringing in some impressive results for the supporters to enjoy. Orlando Pirates are not yet where they want to be in terms of performance and points, but the co-coaches has done well enough for the club to put their faith in them to carry the quality players to the peak of their abilities to ensure the club stays competitive.

Orlando Pirates is one of the top three clubs in South Africa, and therefore everyone would expect the club to be run by a head coach, but unfortunately since Josef Zinnbauer made way, Mandla Ncikazi joined the club from Golden Arrows where he was the Head coach in a successful season leading Arrows to a top four finish. Mandla Ncikazi unfortunately didn't get a head coach role like he did with Arrows, but he linked up with Fadlu Davids to co-coach Pirates first team.

Orlando Pirates was heavily linked with bringing in Cavin Johnson and Gavin Hunt as potential suitors for the head coach role to take over the duties from Ncikazi and Davids. The two coaches who are reportedly linked with Orlando Pirates are unfortunately not part of Orlando Pirates plans right now, as the club has made a decision on who to coach the club from this point forward.

Orlando Pirates co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids has been doing so well for the club, with their last three matches proving they can improve and bring great results to the club and supporters. Thus their recent results has giving the club more security to give the co-coaches an extension in charge of the coaching duties at the club, as they put their search for a head coach on hold.

"I am happy that the club has decided to give the two coaches a chance to work longer with the team", said former Pirates player Hleza Mofedi, as Ncikazi and Davids coach on.
