"Never Bench Our Beast Again, Play Him As A Striker" Arsenal Fans Praise Star After Scoring

Arsenal welcomed Aston Villa to Emirates Stadium with the hopes of ending their three-match losing record against their opponents. The Gunners dominated possession and counter-attacks, with Thomas Partey scoring his first Arsenal goal in the 23rd minute following a superb assist from Emile Smith Rowe in his 40th appearance for the club. Partey has made 49 shots on goal for Arsenal and has now broken his goal drought after a fantastic performance for Ghana, when he scored two goals.

Captain Aubameyang scored Arsenal's second goal on the stroke of halftime on a penalty rebound, giving the Gunners a 2-0 lead at the break. Arteta began Thomas Partey in center midfield alongside Emile Smith Rowe and Sambi Lokonga, with Lacazette, Aubameyang, and Saka in attack, with Partey scoring the game's first goal.

The Gunners controlled both ball possession and counter-attacks, with Watkins, Tyronne Mings, and McGinn receiving three yellow cards for indiscipline. Arsenal fans were pleased, impressed, and appreciated Thomas Partey's first-half effort, which gave the hosts a 1-0 lead at the break. Arsenal fans encouraged Arteta to never bench Partey again, claiming that he is a football beast who, due to his offensive prowess and shooting ability, should be used as a striker.
