Ntuthuko MacBeth-Mao Sibaya, known as MacBeth Sibaya, is a South African former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. In August 2015 he became youth coach at SuperSport United.
The 43 year old Durban born has found a new job and this time as a coach. His vast experience on the pitch throughout the years will come in very handy and will be influential for the boys.
Kwazulu Natal Football Academy is proud to announce and welcome Macbeth Sibaya as the KwaZulu-Natal Football Academy U19 head coach, a stalwart for the national team, was part of the 2002 and 2010 FIFA World Cup squads and featured an impressive 62 times for Bafana Bafana.
Sibaya’s European journey was with success as he managed to lift the Norwegian Premier League title, the Russian Premier League in 2008 and 2009, as well as the Russian Super Cup in 2010. Sibaya was crowned the best player in his debut season for Rubin Kazan.
He returned home in South Africa and played for Moroka Swallows; in the 2011/12 season winning the MTN Wafa Wafa before retiring and concentrating on youth development coaching. Sibaya was then appointed head coach at SuperSport United’s MDC team 2015/2016 seasons and then later resigning.
