Sundowns coach comments on player movement talks
Sundowns have started to add quality players to their roster in preparation for the upcoming campaign while the Brazilians have lately received Abubeker Nassir from Ethiopian Coffee who has already had a significant influence.
Abdelmounaim Boutouil a Moroccan defender was already confirmed to be joining Masandawana earlier this year. More recently Marcelo Allende a Chilean midfield sensation was confirmed to be moving to the DStv Premiership champions by Uruguayan club Montevideo City Torque.
This week it was claimed that Allende who appeared to have obtained his visa was en route to South Africa to complete his agreement with the Brazilians.
The 23-year-trip old's to South Africa was reportedly delayed by visa complications but it now appears to be a thing of the past as he is anticipated to reach Chloorkop soon.
There have been rumors that Pavol afranko a Slovakian international may be viewed as surplus to needs due to the cap on foreign player spots following the arrival of Allende.
When asked about Allende and his impending arrival, Coach Mokwena suggested that patience would be required while the club took care of the essential tasks before the window closed on September 22.
Nassir's status in Sundowns' most recent roster for the upcoming 2022–23 season had previously been in suspense with some reports speculating that he would be loaned out to another PSL team to get experience in the league.
Nassir though was transferred to Sundowns earlier this month after the player received his international transfer certificate the transfer could be declared official.
