Mamelodi Sundowns hit by serious flu outbreak

Some bad news have been reported about the DStv Premiership Champions Mamelodi Sundowns as they are reportedly to have been struck by an outbreak of influenza in their camp. However Masandawana still managed to honour their fixtures against Royal AM as most of their first team players were not present on their final league match against the high flying Royal AM as they managed to win by 3-2 against them. It's understood that a total of 17 players were ruled out of this match.

Thus is a match which was postponed over the weekend as a a terrible weather in the KwaZulu-Natal province. Mamelodi Sundowns's team doctor revealed that they have done the best they can to follow all the due processes, and he also raised an alarm that the coronavirus is still on the rise in the country, and as Sundowns they are still following the health guidelines of COVID-19 prevention.

In recent days the department of health made indications that the Corona virus outbreak has been rising in the country, and they continue to advise everyone to follow the strict health measures that will help them to avoid the infection of the virus. Mamelodi Sundowns could have done like what Kaizer Chiefs did ok December when they encountered a similar situation, Amakhosi decided to not to honour two of their fixtures between Cape Town City and Golden Arrows, and this led to them being punished bbu the Premier Soccer League (PSL), for putting the league into disrepute.
