Manqoba: Ralani's Numbers Surpass all Sundowns players

Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has been following the AFCON tournament very closely. He believes Cameron has a chance to win the tournament. He believes that Nigeria has also been impressive. He picked Equatural Guinea as the underdog of the tournament. It could surprise many people.

He congratulated Andile Jali for winning PSL award for player of the month in December.

He is adamant that Andile has more to give. He is very professional. He takes his job very seriously 

He is a "Tiger" on the field of play.

Manqoba also explained the real reason why they chose Bradley Ralani(34) who previosly played for Cape Town City.

He said Ralani numbers surpass all Sundowns players. In terms of runs he makes and taking on players to make space for others. The kind of distance he covers given his age. his delivery of the ball in the right place and his technic on the ball,he is very good. Manqoba is adamant that the 34 year old can still play for the next 2 or 3 seasons in the PSL.

Sundowns needed someone who can dribble to eliminate the opponents. Sundowns could have signed him a long time ago before he joined city while he was still based in Europe. However there were concern about the fact that he stayed there for a very long time.

Many people have criticised Sundowns for opening the cheque book now and then in the transfer window.

Manqoba has revealed that Sundowns does not have a big squad. They can only use 34 players. The likes of kutumela is still out and other players.

He also revealed that he knows the much talked about Bolivian international Erwin Saavedra who is linked with Sundowns. He is a very good player. He confirmed that they were conversation regarding the player but he did not want to give more details for now but he likes the player.
