The head coach of Al Ahly Pitso Mosimane was critical of Percy Tau after the club dropped points on Tuesday.
The Reds played to a goalless draw against El-Geish on Tuesday and the club failed to close the gap from their bitter rivals Zamalek who are leading the log standings.
Al Ahly were dominant throughout the game but the club failed to break down the defence of the opponent and Mosimane was left frustrated after the game.
Speaking after the game Mosimane insisted that even if they played for an extra hour, they still would not have scored.
The coach added that shooting from range is one of the best solutions to break a solid defence but none of his players tried that.
The coach added that all the four strikers were wasteful and there is nothing he could have done to change the situation.
In addition the coach said they decided to start with El-Sulya because Amr El-Sulya was not supposed to start since he was battling with fatigue and the coach also insisted that Hamdi Fathi was also fatigued.
The coach has insisted that the club only has three midfielders in his team and there are important games that are coming and has claimed that he can not find excuses as they have to grind for results.
The club of the century will now shift focus to CAF champions League semifinals.
