A story that has already been widely shared across a variety of football and sports publications was how the Soweto giants Orlando Pirates turned things around for themselves as they managed to secure back to back victories over their rivals, at first the Buccaneers secured an impressive 3-2 victory over SuperSport United and just recently they managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory over the stubborn Sekhukhune United. The Soweto giants could have secured this match during the first half period but the players were wasteful in the opportunities they created.
After the match the club's co-coach Mandla Ncikazi heaped praises to the club's second half substitutes Fortune Makaringe and Thembinkosi Lorch who managed to stir the team to a different direction when they were bought in. The club stated to okay an impactful football as they were alive on their attacks which later were translated into positive results.
Fortune Makaringe's goal payed off to all the sloppy finishing that we've seen from the Buccaneers, and also the missed penalty by Dion Hotto, even though Sekhukhune United:s keeper was at fault for the cause of the goal the matter of fact is that the Buccaneers worked hard to earn themselves this goal. Sekhukhune United started to play a different ball game altogether and therefore Ncikazi and Davids had to change their tactics which later yielded to positive results.
Fortunate Makaringe and Thembinkosi Lorch were not the only players whom Mandla Ncikazi was impressed by, he also noted how impressive Siphesihle Ndlovu was in the field of play, he liked the fact that Ndlovu player like someone who was a regular for the club this season.
