Reports: Pirates stars break their silence after their loss to Chiefs

The Soweto Derby didn't live up to it's expectations when it comes to Orlando Pirates as they were hoping to walk away with the maximum points and climb up the DStv Premiership log standings. It seems like Kaizer Chiefs had a better plan for their arch rivals in a way that they got away with a 2-1 win at Orlando Stadium. Also, this was the second loss that the Buccaneers had to endure in the hands of Amakhosi this season. Ahead of the match, Pirates was looking forward into leveling the matters, unfortunately they failed.

Even the Sea Robbers skipper Ntsikelelo Nyauza spoke about the whole disappointment they had to go through after losing against Chiefs. Nyauza had to step up and lead Pirates since Happy Jele was on the bench. It wasn't and ideal match for the deputy captain as he felt that they were not fortunate on the day. “Obviously as a team, we are not happy with the result. We expected a win, three points which was going to move us up the table. But you know, it was just one of those days whereby we were unlucky, we got a lot of chances, but we did not convert,” said Nyauza speaking to the media.

Even the Pirates attacker Deon Hotto commented on their disappointing loss to the Phefeni Glamour Boys, after their brilliant goalkeeper Brandon Petersen made sure that the Buccaneers doesn't get an equalizer. Nevertheless, Hotto stated that they will have to put their loss against Chiefs behind them as they prepare for their next encounter. “It is a very disappointing result, especially for us players. Losing twice against them now, but we have to take the blame. They have to thank their goalkeeper, he made some crucial saves, we have to put our minds into the next game,” said Hotto speaking to the media.
