Zungu Breaks Silence On His Struggles At Pirates
Nkanyiso Zungu, a departing Orlando Pirates midfielder, has explained why he struggled with the Buccaneers.
In an effort to relaunch his career, Pirates said last month that Zungu will play the 2022–2023 season with the newly promoted KwaZulu–Natal team.
Last season, the 26-year-old made just one domestic appearance for Pirates and spent the majority of the year completely absent from the team.
When things go wrong, you can become really frustrated and develop despair, which makes you act out. For the time being, I don't want to talk about it since it's private, but I now feel okay and want to play football, Zungu told the reporters.
In addition to the fact that I wasn't playing football, a lot of other things were occurring in my life I don't want to discuss how my personal life contributed to the depression.
In order to succeed as a player, you must work hard, maintain discipline, be professional at all times, understand your role, and respect both yourself and those around you. You must always play for the team, not for yourself.
