Lucky Lehlohonolo Lekgwathi is a former Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana defender who retired in 2014 from football. The former Orlando Pirates captain only played for three clubs in his career, which includes the Sea robbers.
It has been almost seven years now since Lucky Lekgwathi retired from football, however, the role that he played at the Orlando based side continues to live in.
The 44-year old was born in the Pretoria side Ga-Rankuwa, that is where he also grew up. He then started playing football in 1997, he joined Real Rovers. However, he only played for two seasons at the club.
In 1999, Lekgwathi joined Ria stars. The legend made 61 appearances for the club, also finding the back of the net three times. After playing a staring role at Ria stars, he then joined Orlando pirates in 2002.
