The transfer saga involving SuperSport United midfield star Sipho Mbule has taken a lot of twists and turns over the last year or so as the midfielder has now firmly established himself as one of the best in the country
And considering that SuperSport United have one of the best midfielders in the country for them considering the circumstances they operate under they do not intend to build a team around him but are rather in a way looking to make a handsome profit from selling him
Because SuperSport United have now established a reputation of no longer being a winning club but rather now being a selling club as their financial situation is not on the same level as some of the biggest clubs in the country
That has now meant that SuperSport United have had to rely on bargain buys and youth academy graduates to keep them stable with the last trophy they won coming in 2019 in the MT8 final as the last time they won the league was 11 years ago
And one of the bargain buys or young players that SuperSport United have had to rely on instead of big money signings has been top midfield star Sipho Mbule who has fans of other big DSTV Premiership clubs applauding his marvelous talents
And two of those clubs have been Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns who have both been following Sipho Mbule for quite a while now with the hope of convincing him to sign for either one of them as both clubs in a way need a player like him in the middle of the park
But it would appear according to & courtesy of reports from SoccerLaduma that Mamelodi Sundowns now are the closest club to signing Sipho Mbule as they are close to reaching an agreement with his club SuperSport United to acquire his services
The reports further on to include that SuperSport United had demanded quite a lot of money from any club that was interested in signing Sipho Mbule and Mamelodi Sundowns are now more than happy to meet those demands
