News coming in is that despite lack of game time, George Maluleka is looking to extend his stay with Mamelodi Sundowns for the foreseeable future. Maluleka joined the Brazilians following his Kaizer Chiefs departure and has struggled to break into the team since.
The midfielder has now spent 2 years at the club but yet to feature as a regular starter. Now according to his agent, Sean Roberts, Maluleka wants to stay at Mamelodi Sundowns and continue to fight to get into the team’s starting line-up.
As unlikely as it seems, Roberts has the belief that the 33-year-old old will eventually break into the team as he continues to fight through the packing order.
"George is in the best shape of his life." Said Roberts
"You can ask any coach or teammate at Sundowns. Even though he may not be getting game-time, he is impressing each day at training with his attitude and effort.
George Maluleka has made 16 appearances for Sundowns since 2020, and he has only two assists to his name with the club.
