Since the league started we have seen some teams struggle to be consistent and win games, that has also been the case with the Soweto giants. Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday played against Swallows FC where they thrashed them with 3 goals to 1. Swallows FC has been struggling since the start of the season. They even gave their coach a break few games after the season had started due to struggling in form. Despite all that, Swallows FC has relieved coach Brandon Truter and his technical staff off their duties after the defeat against Kaizer Chiefs. It appears as if Swallows FC held an emergency meeting after the game. The club after few hours released a statement following the defeat.
The club statement read like this, "The management of Swallows FC held an emergency meeting with the coaching staff this evening. After receiving a report from the coaching staff, management was further convinced that something drastically need to happen. With the team at the rock bottom of the DSTV Premiership League, management has resolved that the entire coaching staff should not report for duty with immediate effect."
