Former Bafana Bafana coach Clive Barker says Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter shouldn't have apologised after the 4-1 thumphing by the league's new comers Royal AM, he says no coach owes supporters an apology or anything, he should have never done that.
According to media reports, Barker has risen in support of another coach who is going through a rough patch since his return to Naturena since he is struggling to put together a winning team, fans on the other hand are not making things easy for him, they are always on his case whenever he announces his first eleven.
Following the 4-1 defeat at the FNB stadium, 'The Dog' has been quoted on media saying that Baxter's 'I am sorry for the performance' apology was a silly thing which he should have never done in the first place.
"One other thing I didn't like is when he [Baxter] apologised to the supporters. I mean, you must never apologise to the supporters because they will expect you to do that every time. So I thought it was a silly thing to apologise, saying 'I'm sorry for the performance'. He must just sit back and coach the players and not make any excuses," Barker said.
Despite making a whole lot of signings during the transfer window, the Phefeni Glamour Boys are going through the same bad start aa s they did when they were banned from signing players, they are currently languishing on position number 12 on the log after four games, they are on four points and the fans have already started calling for Baxter to be shown the door.
If there is a coach who is under tremendous pressure in the DStv Premiership at the moment, it has to be the former SuperSport United coach made a Chiefs return, he has the material, but he is not deliver ing any goods to Naturena.
