"I'm 37 and Still Looking For a Team, It's not About Money" Wayne Arendse

The forgotten Mamelodi Sundowns star Wayne Arendse refuses to quit and hang his boots, instead the hardworking defender believes he still has a lot to offer in DStv Premiership at the age of 37. Last time when Arendse featured with the Brazilians, they won the PSL title, he is currently a free agent with no club.

The man from Cape Town is looking for a team that can offer him a contract currently. He believes its not about the money, as he had lot of time to make money during his hey days. Right now he wanna pass the experience, and join other players like Vuyo Mere, Simphiwe Shabalala who continues to play in their late 30s.

Speaking to KickOff magazine Arendse said "I'm not hanging up my boots as yet, I still want to play, obviously because I still feel good. Obviously I'm trying to speak to a few people but nothing concrete, because at the end of the day it's just to rub off my experience to the fellow players at whichever team approaches me."

With the PSL still on break due to Afcon finals in Cameroon, Arendse hopes he will secure a contract when the league kicks off after the continental showpiece. It looks like Arendse will accept any offer coming his way, as he said "You know the time for me for money it's long over. It's not about the money because for me I would say whichever team is interested, just put an offer on the table and let's go. It's not about money, the money I made with my entire career already."

With many teams facing relegation, Arendse 's experience will prove to be handy, and it will not surprise the football community if he gets a contract before the end of the current season.
