Mamelodi Sundowns' first rivals in the CAF Champions League have been affirmed after the fundamental round matches were finished throughout the end of the week.
Dusks got a bye in the fundamental round of the opposition, with top African clubs like Al Ahly, Esperance, Wydad Casablanca and Raja Casablanca.

The shielding DStv Premiership champions, who were taken out in the quarterfinals by Egyptian goliaths Al Ahly, will take on Congolese outfit AS Maniema Union. The club advanced to the first round of the Champions League by beating Gabonese club AS Bouenguidi 3-1 on total in the starter stages.
This is the first time Sundowns' rivals are contending in quite a while League, having recently participated in the Confederation Cup, where they have never been past the first round.
