Bongani Zungu to Chiefs?

The squad overhaul at Kaizer Chiefs Football Club is far from over, as the club continues to be linked with some of the finest players around and abroad. During the last transfer window market, the club brought in nine new players.

With the majority of those players being experienced International players, who the club thought would help in the transition to get the club where it was easy, but the transition has been nothing but easy.

With international players, the club has managed to win only three of the ten games they have played this season so far. A poor return for a club on paper is expected to compete with Dstv Premiership runaway log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club.

The Brazilians are currently leading the lock with 19 points from seven games, and they are yet to concede a goal in those seven games. They are level on points with Stellenbosch Football Club who defeated Chiefs 1-0 yesterday and have played two more games more than Sundowns.

With the next transfer window market just two months away, the club is looking to bring in some more few players to help them turn around their awful run, which sees them well into the seventh year without lifting a silverware.

The club was rumoured to be looking to sign South African International player, Bongani Zungu from French club Amiens Football Club, but due to the high price tag the club dot on his head, Chiefs ultimately gave up on the former Sundowns player.

With the player seemingly out of favour at his club and his contract coming to an end, it is rumoured that Chiefs are looking to sign the 29-year-old and reunite him with his former Sundowns teammates Keagan Dolly, Khama billiat, and Leonardo Castro.

At this moment, it looks like the only place where he can resurrect his career is at Chiefs, and do it while earning good money as his career suggests.

But it will also not be a surprise if we see him deciding to stay in Europe.
