It's now official, The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that only those with vaccine passports will be allowed to watch Bafana Bafana in action on Saturday 15th of October at FNB Stadium for free. The unvaccinated will have to buy tickets at the normal stipulated price via the usual outlets.
The decision was not taken lightly, in recent weeks we have seen the vaccination drive dwindling even though we haven't met the 70% target to bring in fans into stadiums. SAFA has also warned against those who might be tempted to photoshop the certificates that it is illegal to do so and any attempts will lead to arrest.
Bafana Bafana is on top with four points followed by Ethiopia and Ghana on three points and Zimbabwe on a dead last. However, Ethiopia and Ghana will be hoping to flip the table on their back-to-back fixture against South Africa and Zimbabwe respectively.
