The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has warned that it will not hesitate to investigate overseers of exchanged organizations who were found to have acted improperly and scored government contracts unpredictably at the start of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Andy Mothibi, the SIU's chief advocate, told the Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements that, in general, project workers who are blamed for such irregularities sell their companies, suggesting that they are unlikely to have the resources to help the SIU recover.

"We'll seek down the leaders of those organizations and try to wrest control from the real bosses. Occasionally, an organization will be switched, yet similar chiefs will appear in another organization. There is even a legal process through which we can request that those chiefs be declared delinquent "Mothibi remarked.

The post has been circulating on the Facebook social media site, which is used to keep the public informed about local and global events.
