Bad news; Eskom has done it again

JOHANNESBURG - While Eskom has zeroed in on deliberate blackouts until Monday, the City of Johannesburg has hit back at the power utility saying it excuses the latest arranged loadshedding. 

The city actually got additional power supply breaking point of 220MW from the selective Kelvin Power Station that qualifies it for an exemption from stages 1 and 2 of loadshedding. 

Director Mpho Moerane portrayed Eskom's masterminded loadshedding in the city as an outlandish decision that couldn't be left unchallenged in light of a legitimate concern for people of Johannesburg. 

City Power has similarly tweeted that it will not be loadsheeding as indicated by Eskom's order. 


Eskom had revealed the appearance of power cuts from 9pm on Saturday through to 5am on Monday. 

The power utility said this was a result of an absence old enough cutoff achieved by breakdowns, different trips at various power stations, similarly as deferrals in returning units to help. 

"This has anticipated that we should rely overwhelmingly upon emergency age saves, which are presently at particularly low levels.
