In Parkgate, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), on the afternoon of 28 June 2022, a 4-year-old child who got lost while playing with friends was reunited with her mother.

A resident of Parkgate, KZN's in the B Section called Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) and asked for help identifying the child's relatives. When they got there, it was discovered that the girl had been found crying on the side of the road.
She was directed to the caller's residence by a bystander who urged them to help locate the child's family. The girl could only give the name of her mother. When the mother of the child arrived, RUSA members were halfway through canvassing the neighbourhood.
She believed the child was playing with her friends and was not aware that she had gone missing.
