People were left confused as to how a minor this young was capable of "commiting murder".
According to Daily Voice, the 5-year-old and his 4-year-old neighbour were playing on Wednesday evening. The victim's family said they found their young boy bleeding from the neck. No one is aware which object the 5-year-old used when stabbing the 4-year-old.
According to the victim's grandmother Ntomboxolo Maya, 48, the two boys were playing as per usual until the accused boy started chasing his grandson, Enzokuhle.
"We were alarmed by the crying voice outside. When we went to check, we found my grandson bleeding. He was stabbed in the neck and was heavily bleeding."
Luckily, a tarven owner came and helped them in transporting Enzokuhle to the hospital. Unfortunately, by the time they reached the hospital, he had already died.
The mother of the accused was drunk when all this happened.
The grandmother appealed to the public to assist them with the burial costs since they depend on social grant as their only source of income.
