Chirume Expose How Much Home Affairs Made from ZEP Holders and How they Did So.

The issues cropping up on daily basis as a result of the controversial Zimbabwe exemption permit seem not to be ending anytime soon as individuals keep unveiling some unknown secrets about the initiative.

We all would recall that the advocate for the Zimbabwe community in South Africa, Barrister Simba Chitando had during his last interview accused the Minister of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi of collecting millions of Rands from ZEP permit holders. Though he didn't give details of how the Minister actually exploited the Zimbabwe beneficiaries of the permit.

However, a Zimbabwean man known as Tichawanda Chirume has exposed one of the ways through which he think Mr Motsoaledi exploited the Zimbabwe Exemption Permit beneficiaries. He claimed that the Home Affairs Ministry took R1500 Rand from each Zimbabwean who applied for the permit as "application fee".

He now multiplied R1500 into 180,000 persons who applied for the permit and it amounted to a whopping R270, 000,000 (Two hundred and seventy million Rands).

According to Chirume's exact statement on Twitter:

"i just did the maths R 1500 paid as application fees by ZEP holders multiplied by 180, 000 holders is 270, 000 000. this is what South Africa Department of Home Affairs get for processing our permits".
