The past two weeks we have seen fired engulfing much Western Cape and now it has happened in Durban.
On Friday, one of the buildings in the Durban CBD which is called the China Emporium centre caught fire and started to burnt.
Firefighters worked all day trying to contain it with no luck. Even on Saturday, they were still at the scene and still the building was on fire.
Firefighters, together with Metro police search and rescue members used massive ladders to gain access to the building and search for those who had been trapped.
Thirteen people were said to be treated for injuries ranging from minor to moderate and were taken to the nearby hospital. The police are still investigating the course of fire.
