On the 09th of February 2021 in Yellowwood Park, Montclair. Members of ET Rapid Response, Yellowwood Park SPF, Protech, Blue and PRASA were informed about a cable theft in progress in the Yellowwood Park area. They subsequently rushed to the said area and found the two suspects who were busy stealing cables, the two men were apprehended and the stolen cables were recovered.
The suspects were then handed over to Montclair SAPS, they will appear in court soon on charges of theft. These cable thieves are a problem to a lot of communities because we are suffering a lot because of them, at times when they get struck by electricity we also lose power are our houses. It's so sad that we pay for electricity then other people just come and steal cables not only in train stations but even in our residential areas, police need to keep them behind bars because most of these people are homeless and if they release them...they will just come back and do the same thing.
