The South African security Operatives have been laying down their lives just for the sake of keeping South African civilian population safe from any form of internal and external aggression.
The services of these men and women cannot be overemphasized and this is why the government need to guarantee them a certain level of security while discharging their official duties.
Earlier today, the police service in Capetown was thrown into mourning after an officer was hit by a bullet during gun duel between the police and armed robbers.
The armed robbers stormed Killarney gardens in the late hours of Friday. Police Operatives were immediately dispatched to the area following an intelligent tip off from the public.
On arrival, gun duel ensued between the police and the armed robbers. One of the police sergeant got hit by a bullet and he died at the spot while another was wounded and he is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
"Policeman shot and killed during armed robbery in Killarney Gardens in Cape Town. Police spokesperson Novela Potelwa says sergeant was part of team that responded to the robbery. When police arrived on scene, shootout led to officer being killed and another officer being wounded."
