Murder

R.I.P. 13-year-old Girl Was Shot Dead In Cape Town On National Women's Day - This Happened To Her

Crime in South Africa has changed a country which was once regarded as safe into an unsafe one. People used to go out anytime they like but now, one must have special protection to even go to a tavern. The sad reality of today is that criminals have turned Mzansi into something else. These criminals take pride in oppressing the innocent and breaking the law like they are invincible. Although SAPS and other security forces have tried to put an end to these criminals, nothing has improved.

Many fear for their lives daily as these criminals roam about looking for who to rob or murder. It should be noted that these criminals are either gangs or lone wolves who commit atrocious acts of crime.

Concerning crime in Mzansi, a 13-year-old girl has lost her life due to a gang-related shooting in Cape Town. It was gathered that Aqeelah Schroeder, a 13-year-old from Delft, Cape Town was walking to a nearby shop when she was caught in a gang gunfight which killed her. The young girl was hit by stray bullets from the shooting.

The painful fact about Aqeelah's murder is that it happened yesterday, which is a day reserved for celebrating women all over the world. There is nothing sadder than losing a young girl on a day reserved for females.

Reports say that no one has been arrested for her murder yet. Things like gang violence arise when there are gangs and disbanding these gangs would put an end to the menace.

"Aqeelah Schroeder, a 13-year-old from Delft, Cape Town was murdered yesterday, on National Women's Day. Aqeelah had been walking to a nearby shop when she was caught in gang crossfire. No one has been arrested yet.

Rest in power our sister. We will never forget you," reports claim.

For me, I think that it is time for the Army to step in as things seem to be escalating beyond the control of police officers. If the army steps into this issue, I bet that their experience will help curb these criminals in South Africa.
