A miscarriage of justice when a police commissioner is suspended for wrong doing. SA is on fire.

A police profession, a teacher and doctors are referred to as a calling by those who work in them. A police is someone who loves law and order. They hate crime and injustice.

The police wear colour blue because it simplifies trust and calm. People trust the colour blue because it is the colour of the sky where God is rumoured to be residing.

The police minister Bheki Cele was fired when he was still police commission on allegations of corruption. He came back to the police as a minister.

His predecessors Ria Phiega was also fired for irregularities. A commission was established and she was later removed as the police commissioner.

Kehla Sithole was then appointed in her place and the country and the police were happy. Today we learned with shock that Kehla Sithole has been served with a suspension notice.

He has seven days to respond to the suspension. This is a miscarriage of justice and a sad day for South Africa. Crime rate is high and people are being attacked in their homes.

The police should be a symbol of justice and order in a country. In America the police are respected and people feel safe. Residents do not live behind high walls and burglar bars like prisoners.

South Africa already has a shortage of police officers because there is not enough money to recruit more. Money is being abused and misused by those in power.

Being corrupt has become fashionable in South Africa where members of the ruling party loot state resources. President Ramaphosa promised to root out corruption but nothing seems to be happening.

We are disappointed by the news of corruption about a man who has become a symbols of law and order. This case will further tarnish the reputation of the South African Police Service.
