The South African Police Service and traffic Dept was brought to disrepute in what has encouraged people to further believe that the police who are granted the authority to protect them can't be trusted anymore
The embarrament to the intergrity of the police is after the National traffic anti corruption unit, road management corporation, SAPS crime intelligence and the highway patrol were on operations where they saw a car with false number plates
The officers kept close eye on the vehicle and requested for backup from the SAPS Crime intelligence and high way patrol.
The officer confronted the suspects and things played out in a non violent way, they searched the vehicle and discovered State issued firearms in the suspects possessions
The suspects, one a member of the EMPD VIP protection unit, one A SAPS crime intelligent and one a civilian, all three were arrested.
However it was discovered that just before the arrest they had just hijacked a truck, They are believed to be connected to a syndicate operating on the R59, N3, Kliprivier Road.
The arrest was in in Johannesburg, on the 13th, further investigation, discovered the suspects had earlier hijacked and dropped a loaded truck in Strydom Park in Randburg.
The police are to investigate further and suspects will appear in court.
