Durban – A 36-year-elderly person was killed outside the Umlazi Magistrate's Court on Wednesday morning.

As per police representative Brigadier Jay Naicker, the casualty had been going on Solo Road in Umlazi at around 9 am when he went under assault.
"While he was going to enter the court, a vehicle with obscure presumes stuck his vehicle.
"Two guys landed from their vehicle and discharged a few shots towards him and ran away from the area in their escape vehicle.
"He supported numerous shot injuries on the chest area and was announced dead at the scene," he said.
Naicker said the rationale in the killing is as yet unclear.
"The Provincial Investigative Unit has assumed control over the examination," Naicker said.
The casualty is accepted to be an investigator, nonetheless, police have not delivered his personality.
