It has been reported that the founder and owner of Max’s Lifestyle Village in Umlazi, Max Mqadi was shot on Thursday. It is believed that the incident occurred at Umlazi V, just outside Durban. According to reports, Max got ambushed with bullets as he was leaving his place at Umlazi. The hitmen thought that they’ve done their work when they evacuated the scene. Only to find out that he survived and he’s currently under intense care from the hospital.
According to sundayworld.co.za, Max got shot by two unknown suspects in an assassination style. As they came close to her car and opened fire aiming for his upper body. However, Max drove off from the danger zone with bullets wounds on his body until he reached Florida Road Morningside. Whereby he was taken to the hospital to get medical care for his gunshot wounds. At the moment it is still unclear what was the motive behind the shooting. The police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele confirmed that the two suspects that shot Max ended up fleeing the scene. At the moment the police officers have been hard at work trying to get hold of the suspects so that they can explain their actions behind bars. There is still more on the story that needs to be unpacked since it still developing at the moment.
Now, Max’s daughter confirmed the unfortunate news that have been surfacing online. As she stated that she was panicking about the whole situation and felt helpless at the moment she heard the horrifying news about her father. Since she didn’t want his father to feel such excruciating pain. “My heart is racing,” said Zinhle Mqadi on her Twitter account.
