Rosemary Ndlovu in the witness box . She confirms that she is 46 years old and that she is a Christian and that her mother is the only surviving parent who is 82 years old. She also says she doesn’t have any children. Rosemary Ndlovu she’s also been found guilty of attempting to kill her mother, defeating the ends of justice, incitement and fraud. The court found that Ndlobu was guilty of planning the murders of five relatives and her lover between 2012 and 2018. she cashed in nearly R1.4 million from life insurance policies she had on the deceased. A week ago she was found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt the murders of her lover, Maurice Mabasa and five relatives.
Judge asked Rosemary Ndlovu what she did with the R1,9 million she got in payouts because she never helped her family with the money. “I did give my family money, I also contributed to burial of my sister, bought tombstones, renovated house”. said Rosemary Ndlovu
And again Rosemary Ndlovu asks the court to serve her sentence at the Johannesburg Prison because her family lives around Johannesburg and it would be easier for them to visit her. State prosecutor Ariana Williams says Ndlovu’s tears are meaningless. State also says she was moved to Kgosi Mampuru Prison from Johannesburg because she planned to kill the Investigating Officer. State will now call up witnesses for aggravation of sentence. First up is Mrs Mashego grandmother of Brilliant Mashego (one of the victims) she has a picture of Brilliant’s child who was just 8 months old when he was killed.
