The ANC has been in power for the last 27 years and people are still in need of basic service delivery. This is a clear indication of a failed government.
Many people were not impressed about about how Sihle Zikalala celebrated having just opened one tap for the community in KwaZulu-Natal. These things are supposed to be there already. We can not still be celebrating that a tap has been opened with a ribbon, where people are still expected to carry buckets of water. The ANC has really lost it touch. They longer even see when they do things that are inhuman.
Sihle Zikalala was celebrating opening just one tap and community members can be seen in a queue trying to access the water. This is the kind of achievement that the ANC is proud of in the era that we live in. This is the reason we are so behind with many things in this country because we are still doing things that were supposed to be done way back.
People are supposed to be having running water in their homes but hey, the ANC is still unable to provide that the communities. It looks like South Africa is now down graded to opening stadiums and now we have to celebrate things like opening a tap and we even call the media for such.
We know that this is happening because it is time for elections and this is another way of trying to ensure that people keeps on voting for the ANC. It might not be a surprise if the tap runs out of water just after the elections.
The election are on the 1 November and it is time that we make our voices to be heard. We can not allow government to continue treating us the way that they do.
