Crime in Polokwane continue to rise on a daily basis leaving citizens on edge. Criminals target people in their homes and steal their properties sometimes in full view of the owners.
The police in Polokwane have arrested occupants of a Toyota Avanza in Polokwane. The police stopped the vehicle and discovered stolen groceries, clothes and a television set.
While arresting the suspects, one of them offered the police a R2000 bribe. A charge of bribing a police officer was then added.
Citizens have no choice but to fight back against little boys turned criminals who continue to cause problems and steal properties.
In the past people used to help each other by coming to one's aid should they detect a criminal in their home.
Our laws need to be amended to allow for citizens to protect themselves against criminals without getting arrested. One must be able to protect themselves against criminals.
