A video has gone where an Uber driver is getting beaten by taxi association members from Katlehong. On a video taxi drivers can be heard telling the driver to jump inside their association vehicle. This happen while they are busy beating poor driver with Sjambok.
Although the matter behind the scene is unknown it is alleged that the drivers chased Uber vehicle until he got an accident. The car hit a wall of someone's house while he was being chased by the association. People who attended the scene watched as the driver is being beaten publicly without no one calling the police or helping the poor man.
This video got people talking on social media after realizing that taxi drivers aren't good for the industry. It is well known that they are fighting for a route. But this time people lost faith in them after watching the video.
Why are taxi drivers doing this to other people who are hired by another company which is registered. Why can't they fight Uber instead of beating and killing drivers?
