"I Will Not Bury My Son, Until My Four Demands Are Met" - Sylvester Oromoni’s Father Vows

The father of Sylvester Oromoni (Jnr), a late 12-year-old Dowen College student, has listed four things that must be completed before he can lay his late son to rest. Sylvester Oromoni (Jnr) died after he was allegedly tortured by senior students at Dowen College in Lagos for refusing to join a cult group.

"I want justice," Sylvester Oromoni (Snr) said in an interview with The PUNCH about how the family is coping after their son's death and their demands. Those boys should be invited. The school authorities should be invited. The government should investigate and take action against them."

The distraught father also stated that the family would keep the young boy's body until all those responsible for his death were brought to justice.

"She can hear you but she is almost crying," he said of his wife's reaction to the trauma. We couldn't get any sleep. Last night, we had to take sleeping pills to get some sleep. It's been a particularly trying time for the family. That boy, such a lovely young boy, was our star and light. It breaks my heart when I see the photo I took with him just two months ago at my daughter's graduation."
