THE FUNERAL TOOK PLACE EARLIER THIS MONTH 


The Gauteng Department of Health representative Kwara Kekana affirmed that it is managing instances of a group flare-up of suspected food contamination in the West Rand District. 


"On Monday, 15 November 2021 at 7h30 am, the West Rand District Health Services got correspondence about a speculated food contamination group episode following a memorial service in Kadima Street, Kagiso," she said. 


THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL 11 UNVERIFIED CASES 


Kekana said while there are 29 advised and confirmed cases conceded and treated in both Public and Private offices, there are 11 extra unsubstantiated cases.

"The Department is working intimately with the West Rand District in the examination of the episode. 


"The harming is associated with having radiated from a burial service of an old lady. Memorial service procedures are accounted for to have started at 7h00 am on Saturday, 13 November 2021," she said. 


Kekana said the food was served around 11:00. 


Inside the space of HOURS AFTER EATING PEOPLE STARTED VOMITING 


"Reports of abrupt heaving and the runs started at around 16:00 around the same time. On Sunday evening, there were gossipy tidbits about eight instances of individuals with side effects and one passing," she said. 


Kekana added that the Department is anticipating the consequences of tests gathered from the individuals who are conceded to the medical clinic to find the causative organic entity and the posthumous aftereffects of the two individuals who had passed on. 


"The examination concerning the episode is progressing." 


This comes a long time after the passings of five youngsters who purportedly devoured harmful noodles. 


The Health Department has started a dire examination concerning conceivable food contamination in Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, and Gauteng Provinces to build up what had caused the passings of these five youngsters.
