If you received this message on your phone Today, Please Do not respond to it, see the reason why

As a precautionary measure, you should avoid responding to this email, as it was sent by scammers who will ask for a plethora of personal information to receive the car they claim you've won.

On Monday, May 20th, 2022 at approximately 15:17 p.m. I called the number they had given me to see if I had won a VW Polo. My curiosity had piqued, so I dialed their number to learn more.

Upon receiving a call, I explained that I had won the automobile and offered him my name and phone number as my personal reference. This made me suspect and, after he asked for my Social Security number and bank account details, I urged him to let me hang up until he had all of my paperwork.

Never give up your personal information over the phone to someone you do not know, especially as thieves' tactics of victimization grow increasingly imaginative. Since then, I've never phoned him back.

Scammers use this strategy, and the most common one involves a phone and two T-shirts as prizes for sending airtime to the con artists.

In the event that you receive a text message on your phone from a number such as 079/082 or another format close to that, do not reply. Landlines, not cell phones, are the preferred method of communication for legitimate businesses.
