A man named Newton Nyirenda has lost his life along with two of his builders when they were at the man's plot. Late Newton who served as a magistrate got struck by lightning after which he gave up the ghost.
It is quite uncommon for lightning to strike at such a time as there was reportedly no rainfall during the time in which the incident happened. However, according to my research, lightning can strike on a sunny day.
The fact that lightning consists of electrical charges just means that it would be able to operate in humid conditions, which means that even though there is no rain, there is a chance that electrical charges which have accumulated in the clouds could discharge through the humid air around the earth into the ground.
Sadly, in this case, it struck these 3 people and killed them from the intense heat and electricity which is generated. You must note that lightning strikes could generate a lot of heat when it reaches the ground.
The death of these men were painful to behold as they couldn't have prevented the lightning strike on a sunny day. The reason why it is so difficult to prevent a lightning strike on a sunny day is that it follows the path of the least possible resistance since lightning strikes result from electrical charges.
When the sad news reached online users, most of them expressed their sadness about the demise of the three men. Take a look at a screenshot from their comments below;
There has not been any further information concerning the sad incident, although, the deceased men would definitely be laid to rest.
May the souls of the deceased rest in peace.
