The South African power utility company revealed that load shedding would be making a return for the first time in December.Load shedding is scheduled to start at 9pm on Saturday and come to an end on Monday morning at 5 am.
It was revealed that if there are more challenges , load shedding may come even earlier than anticipated .The load shedding was reported to be a result of power failures that took place at Kusile , Arnot and Medupi power stations. This will force the power utility company to implement Stage 2 of load-shedding.
There was a report of power failure of coal conveyors at Medupi and the situation is expected to be rectified, even though it may take time. There was an upright shutdown at the Kendal power station as a result of an electrical fault .The ash plant is reported to have returned to service even though it will take time for them to be fully back in service.
