
Two passengers lost their lives today on the N3 southbound carriageway near Ashburton outside Pietermaritzburg
The Accident occurred when a container fell off a truck and landed on a taxi From Gauteng that was headed to KwaZulu-Natal.
12 people were left with minor to serious injuries as well as a Toddler.
The taxi was pushed up against the guard rail and emergency services members scoured the area of for more injured victims.

It is believed that the container locks were not secured properly and the company should be held accountable for this tragic accident.
The taxi is a long distance commuter taxi and was transporting people from Gauteng when the accident occurred on the road.
Someone will sure be held accountable for this negligent act, this time the taxi driver was not at fault for his driving, it was negligent behaviour which cost the lives of the two passengers aboard the taxi.
